I will avoid Hereford if there is ever a congestion fee

Should Hereford deem it appropriate to impose a congestion charge or a similar penalty to those who use the road network to gain access to a local shop or service, I will simply bypass the city altogether.

I am only a man but rest assured that my feelings are shared by many.

Hereford does not have a great wealth of attractions or services by comparison, and those who serve as stewards should be very careful about punishing those who would otherwise like to come here for business or pleasure.

In fact, like most cities in the UK, Hereford has to do its best to encourage more business and visits.

She must surely recognize that with a click of the mouse the desired custom is lost to the city with such a careless act.

In the interests of the city, its businesses and residents, I hope that Hereford’s governing bodies will reconsider their intentions in the short term.

After all, this is clearly not the time to hold back the economic recovery of Hereford or any other ailing metropolis.
